THE EXPERIENCE
Choose the setting that feels right
-
If your home is where you feel most grounded, we can discuss a private visit. I will ask about the room, surfaces, lighting, water access, privacy, pets, and space for a dedicated tattoo setup. A home appointment is offered only when the location can meet applicable requirements and the setup can be approved before booking.
-
Perhaps your story belongs beneath the pines, near a river, or within sight of the mountains. We can plan an outdoor opening, reflection, or closing in a place that matters to you. Tattooing at an outdoor location is considered only when permissions, weather, cleanliness, and a compliant procedure area allow it. When they do not, we can keep the nature portion of the ceremony and make the tattoo in the agreed indoor setting.
-
A private studio appointment offers an intimate, prepared space without travel or weather uncertainty. You may bring an object, photograph, writing, or music that helps make the moment your own, subject to the studio's setup and guest policies.
-
For any home or nature request, we agree on an indoor tattoo location before confirming the session. If weather turns, a site becomes unsuitable, or permission is unavailable, we move the tattoo to that approved space. If the ceremony is important to the location, we can hold that portion there when conditions permit, then travel to the indoor tattoo setup. If neither option works on the day, we follow the rescheduling terms agreed to at booking.
You will know the intended location, the backup location, travel details, and any changes to the price before you commit.
Fine Line Tattoos
Delicate work with presence. Fine line tattoos can be subtle without being small in meaning: a sprig from the place you call home, the silhouette of an animal, a handwritten word, or an image you have carried in your mind for years.
I work with you to find a scale and placement that serves the design. Extremely tiny details and lettering may need to be simplified or enlarged to give the tattoo the best chance to remain legible as it settles and ages.
Ideas to bring: botanicals · wildlife · landforms · celestial details · meaningful objects · simple script · personal symbols
Custom Symbolic Work
When you know what a tattoo needs to mean but cannot yet picture what it should look like, begin there. Share the memory, place, value, or turning point behind it. I can help translate that into visual ideas within my style.
Ceremonial Tattoos
For people who want the process itself to hold meaning. These sessions may include opening + closing ceremony, calling in the directions, prayer, a conversation about intention, or a simple ritual that we agree on together. Participation is always optional; your beliefs and boundaries guide the experience.
HOW A PRIVATE SESSION UNFOLDS
-
Tell me what you imagine, where you would like it, and what matters most about it. You do not need a finished concept to reach out.
-
I develop a fine line design in the Sunhawk style and choose any reflective elements you want to include. Ceremony is guided by your own values, whether spiritual, faith-centered, nature-centered, or simply personal.
-
We review the proposed space, required permissions, the tattoo setup, weather considerations, travel, pricing, and an indoor alternative before the appointment is reserved.
-
We review placement together before tattooing. You can ask questions or change your mind about placement before we begin.
A CEREMONIAL session might be for you if...
You are marking a threshold in your life. You want to honor a beloved person or animal. A place on the land holds part of your story. You would feel more comfortable in a quieter, personal setting. Or you simply want the day of your tattoo to feel intentional from beginning to end.
There is no required belief, performance, or emotional outcome. This is your mark and your meaning.
